Insurgents in Iraq coming from Syria? That's Cray-Z-tawk. No way. Impossible. Surely this would be all over the news and the Bush Admin would be raving about it all the time
[/sarcasm off]
No big surprise, and the videos are as clear as the transcripts. No one left of center will ever believe their eyes and ears though. They still don't believe what they saw and heard on 911. Instead-too often-they'd prefer to bow to the opinions of others, the ravings of comforting conspiracy theorists, and placating political panderers. It's a shame. This is one of the most covered wars in world history. We actually watched the invasion live with embedded reporters. We get emails live from people who are over there. We can read blogs etc from civilians and hear it told in their own words. At the same time, the enemy absolutely RELIES on distorting the news coming from Iraq, Afghanistan, and all around the world. They cannot even begin to fight the war without it. All of their strategies and tactics revolve around making and getting out the news stories they want-to sell the image of terror and war that suits their needs regardless of truthfullness. And in that critical battlefield of wills, the enemy is winning. Why? Because we have to search the web and pass the real news from one person to the other by email rather than see it on-OF ALL PLACES...THE EVENING NEWS OR NEWSPAPERS or other NEWS OUTLETS!
Al Queda has a media council
Does America, and if so...does it work to tell the truth as seen in these videos and so many more, or does it prefer the empowerment of talking tough to power and being biased towards conspiracy; making them vulnerable to becoming a tool for the enemy. Let's not forget, the enemy is not out to simply discredit the Bush Administration, or make America look bad in the eyes of the world.
Their aim is to kill us.
Truths such as these videos and soooo many more are the real artillery in this war. Suicide hijackers on airplanes are the nuclear bombs, and the mother of a slain soldier has more follower...more believers...more anti-war warriors than the Marine Corps has Marines.
They say the pen is mightier than the sword. If that's the case, then the internet and video is at least as mighty as a nuclear arsenal-maybe more so since anyone and everyone is eager to use the web to market their own stories, but no nation wants to use a nuke (note, Iran doesn't have the bomb yet apparently).
Sorry to rave, but some of these videos have been out for a long time. I also get emails from people who are over there telling me the exact same thing, and yet nothing gets done about it. The only response is to deny that Syria is anything more than "a bad neighbor" as described in the same fashion as Saddam was "a bad guy."
