It was only a matter of time. Lot's of people shooting this one down so I don't really need to do a personal smack-down on the Times, but most of the rebuttals leave out the fact that the NYTs included 24 out of 121 that were manslaughters, predominately drunken driving. Most commentators are missing that fact which is important because if you add drunken driving deaths along with murder charges into a comparison of the general population the story is that returning vets are far LESS likely to be a threat than a similar sample of the general population.
