Andrew Sullivan, as usual, is seriously misinformed. He should read my book Both In One Trench: Saddam's Secret Terror Documents before he goes spouting off: Ron Paul For The Republican Nomination

Let's be clear: we have lost this war. We have lost because the initial, central goals of the invasion have all failed: we have not secured WMDS from terrorists because those WMDs did not exist. We have not stymied Islamist terror - at best we have finally stymied some of the terror we helped create.

Document upon document details Saddam's support to the global Islamic jihad movement. It takes the willing suspension of disbelief for me to think that any serious commentator could be so ignorant of obvious evidence. I think he simply doesn't care what the truth is, he is a liberal who wants to bash Bush and our war effort.

Nothing discredits the Islamic terrorist like failure. The increasingly obvious failure (to every one but the American left) of al Qaeda is bringing even well respected jihad leadership out to condemn al Qaeda.
