Overweight? Yeah. Guess what else I am: the best f@#$ing emerging poet in American letters at the beginning of this century. That means as much to some as credit reports mean to me. f@#$ it. I'm done with the midwest. ...

f@#$ it. I'm done with the midwest. I'm never going back. People cant choose themselves...the plot moves through and around us and we're just players on that stage acting out our parts to perfection. Adios.

Now this text excerpt may only be part of the story and the writing could possibly be from a song or something. But it very much looks like Scott Beauchamp has declared himself a liar and subsequently removed the post.
So if any one out there is good at finding cached web pages, try and get to :

Let me know what you find.

It sounds like a poorly-remembered version of the opening of The Metamorphosis, by Kafka. "As Gregor Samsa awoke one morning from uneasy dreams he found himself transformed in his bed into a gigantic insect".

The part about being a debter and a deceiver squares with this entry, by a friend of Beauchamp,
"Back in the olden days there were cavemen. My favorite caveman was a guy named (Beau)Champion. This guy was a bad mother all around. Smart as shit (for a caveman), athletic, and hair (all over) like you've never seen. This mother fucker actually dropped everything he was doing and went out and got trained to be the best caveman around. If you thought he was badass before, you should see him now. This guy was a leader. He was respected and looked up to and admired by all. And because of his training he would have made sure his family was well cared for (food, shelter, etc.). But times changed, and Champion got in debt, all of a sudden everyone thought he was a bad guy. Well what the fuck? He's a good guy. He cares for his friends and his family and would do whatever he had to for them. He made mistakes, but who the fuck doesn't, he's a little crazy sometimes, but who the fuck isn't. It's bullshit. Champion got bullshitted, and I feel for him."

Beauchamp linked to that post by Van Dyke on his own blog on Feb. 23, 2006

Yer out of luck on this one it seems.
I did a lot of searching in the aggregation spots I know of and no one's picked him up.
Mabybe someone knows of some more obscure places to look, but it appears to me that his blog has stayed firmly under the many radars out there.
