The AP reports that:
NEW YORK (AP) -- Conservative leaders voiced dismay Wednesday at news that Mary Cheney, the lesbian daughter of Dick Cheney, is pregnant, while a gay-rights group said the vice president faces "a lifetime of sleepless nights" for serving in an administration that has opposed recognition of same-sex couples.
Note they use the term "same-sex couples" a valid distinction from the issue of gay marriage.
So what does President Bush have to say about "same-sex couples"?
According to the AP from Oct, 2004 (right before the Presidential election):
WASHINGTON - Some conservative groups expressed dismay Tuesday over President Bush’s tolerance of state-sanctioned civil unions between gay people — laws that would grant same-sex partners most or all the rights available to married couples.
So which is it AP? Is President Bush tolerant of "same-sex partners" or did he "oppose recognition of same-sex couples".
Or is it both depending on whether the AP wants to cause republican dissension right before a presidential election or just make him look intolerant when there is no imminent election?
Hmmmm....

It is whatever will accomplish misrepresenting the administration for any given subject. They don't care about truth, they care about furthering their own political agenda...PERIOD.
Good catch there.
