AP finally comes clean with its attitude towards the military
H/T Michelle Malkin
Associated Press CEO Tom Curley has finally come clean. It is not "President Bush's policies" that the AP seeks to destroy. It is the U.S. military itself. After years of watching the AP froth with anti-US military blather (i.e. debunked Pulitzer Prize winning work to expose US atrocities in Korea/ debunked by Korea I might add) I now have a much better understanding of their motivation. As hard as it is to believe, the AP is truly anti-US military.
In a Washington Post Op-ed about an AP photojournalist who just happens to always be in the right place at the right time (wink...wink... nudge...nudge) Curley states:
AP is now convinced the Army doesn't care whether Bilal is or isn't an insurgent. The Army doesn't have to care.
Now this kind of thing is easy to say against a faceless institution; bureaucracy if you will. But who exactly is it that doesn't care about American principals Mr. Curley? Is it the JAG officer, probably a major who has advised that this is legal? Is it the maneuver commander, a LTC, maybe brigade or division commander who heroically leads our troops in a hostile theater every day? Is it the Joes that busted into the room and slapped the zip cuffs on him? Is it the MI officers and soldiers who have interrogated him and talked to others to determine that he is a threat?
You know who it is, don't you Mr. Curley? It is all of them Mr. Curley. It is the private that risked his life to arrest him. The MP's who risk their lives to detain him. The interrogators who risk their lives to collect the actionable intel. And all the commander, staffers, and legal authorities that are monitoring the process. You just said all these people, all these heroes, defenders of your liberty, don't care. Congratulations Mr. Curley. I hope this puts the face back on that faceless army you are attacking to support a man who happens to be in the right place at the right time with terrorists so often. Because it is much more likely that our heroes don't care than your company employed a terrorist, right?

One of the best posts I've ever seen-well done Ray!
