Below is a live blogging event that marks the debunking of the "Bush Lied" delusion of the left. All the documents referred to can be seen on Foreign Military Studies Office website.
On Friday, the FMSO posted transcripts of Saddam meeting with his ministers. These videos were captured in Iraq and processed at the Combined Media Processing Center in Qatar by the section I worked in.
Last month, a translator and former U.N. weapons inspector by the name of Bill Tierney released the tapes at The Intelligence Summit . The problem is that the event organizer, John Loftus and Bill Tierney have both made bizarre comments in the past and thus the tapes were discredited. The tapes were reviewed by ABC which reported they held nothing of value.
Bill Tierney disagreed and said ABC News had done a poor translation. I agreed in the American Thinker with Bill Tierney because I worked with these tapes and had a pretty good knowledge of their value.
Now the FMSO has posted what appears to be original translation conducted at the CMPC for the Iraq Survey Group.
These translations support Bill Tierney and prove that ABC News did a poor job of reporting these tapes. It also show the intelligence sources that ABC News talked to did not do a very thorough job of reviewing these tapes as the sources claimed they had no value.
The evidence is clear, it is sourced at a high level in the Iraq government, and can not be refuted.
The posts below were done in a live blog fashion and I created this summary to bring them all into the same context.
